The Virtual Law Library is provided as part of the Special Law Collection at the Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage.

The ambition of the project is to set up a single access gateway to high quality legal resources and information on the internet. Conceived as a "one-stop-shop" it supplies access to electronic and conventional resources as well as to library services.

The Virtual Law Library is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Contents and services of this project, which was established in December 2005, are in a continuous process of upgrade and development.
